Ultimately, fuboTV compares to other premium streaming services suitable for replacing cable or satellite TV. Its chief competitors include PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, and Hulu Live TV. As hinted in its name, fuboTV includes robust soccer offerings that might be a difference maker for fans.

So let’s dive into the details on fuboTV, its channel offerings, price, and other features. We’ll also look at Internet speed considerations. If you are a big soccer fan, it just might be the streaming service for you.

FuboTV Provides a Robust Channel Lineup

As noted earlier, fuboTV’s channel lineup goes far beyond sports. It offers most of the popular entertainment and news channels. Depending on your location, also expect a full lineup of local network channels, with the exception of ABC affiliates. All fuboTV plans also include over 100 events in 4K video resolution.

When it comes to sports, however, the lack of any ESPN channels is likely a showstopper for some. ESPN+ provides access to a host of worldwide soccer leagues, but at a separate monthly cost of $4.99. FuboTV includes FS1 and FS2, beIN Sports, TUDN, NBCSN, the NFL Network, NBA TV, and more. No content from the ABC, Disney, and ESPN family is puzzling, however.

Ultimately, when choosing between streaming services, slight variations in the channel lineup matter. Before you decide on which service is best for you, closely research their lineups. Remember, nearly all services offer a free trial to new subscribers.

FuboTV Plans and Other Features

The basic fuboTV plan provides 109 channels at a monthly cost of $54.99. This also includes a Cloud-based DVR with 30 hours of storage. You are able to stream to two devices at one time.

For $59.99 per month, the Family plan ramps up the Cloud DVR space to 500 hours. Simultaneous streaming to three devices is the other perk of the family plan. Depending on your needs, the extra $5 monthly cost is worth it.

The Ultra plan costs $74.99. It adds nine channels of Showtime, 24 sports channels, and 37 entertainment channels. It also includes the extra perks of the Family plan. Other premium services, like HBO or Starz aren’t available through fuboTV. There’s also a Latino Quarterly plan with 33 channels and the basic perks for $19.99 per month.

Note that you are able to add the extra sports, entertainment, and Showtime channels as separate packs. The Fubo Extra entertainment package adds some popular channels like the Cooking Channel and BBC World News. It’s also worth mentioning fuboTV provides the Viacom channels, including MTV, VH-1, and Comedy Central. This is a rarity among streaming services.

What Streaming Devices Does FuboTV Support?

FuboTV supports most popular streaming devices, including Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, and more. Of course, your iOS or Android mobile devices are also supported. Streaming within your web browser is also possible.

Remember you need at least 5 Mbps of Internet speed to stream HD content. That number goes up when using multiple devices on your home network. 25 Mbps is the requirement for 4K content.

Be sure to regularly perform an Internet speed test to ensure your bandwidth is sufficient for HD and 4K streaming. Also, check out our tips on optimizing the performance of your home network.
